¿Qué puede nacer de la colaboración de una bodega fundada en 1729 y un grupo de cuatro enólogos que hacen vinos frescos y modernos en diferentes zonas de España? Pues nada más y nada menos que la colección 3 Miradas; una colaboración entre Alvear y Envínate formada por siete vinos que quieren representar toda la diversidad de la sierra de Montilla.
3 Miradas Vino de Pueblo 2017 es un monovarietal de Pedro Ximénez procedente de viñas plantadas en vaso sobre suelos calcáreos y de albariza de vendimia temprana. Cada parcela se vinifica por separado, ya sea prensando las uvas directamente y fermentándolas en tinajas o pisándolas y fermentándolas en cubos abiertos. En ambos casos, el vino reposa en tinajas de 150 y 300 arrobas bajo velo de flor durante ocho meses.
En nariz encontramos orejones, avellana y toques anisados. Su boca es compleja, amarga, frutal (manzana), algo cítrica, en un vino elegante, largo y muy rico.
La verdad es que era una apuesta segura. Nada malo puede salir cuando se juntan las ganas de hacer cosas nuevas y diferentes de Envínate con la tradición y el saber hacer de Alvear.

What can be born from the collaboration of a winery founded in 1729 and a group of four winemakers who make fresh and modern wines in different areas of Spain? Well, nothing more and nothing less than the 3 Miradas collection; A collaboration between Alvear and Envínate with seven wines that want to represent the Sierra de Montilla diversity.
3 Miradas Vino de Pueblo 2017 is a Pedro Ximénez single-varietal from vineyards planted on calcareous and albariza soils that is early-harvested. Each plot is vinified separately, either by pressing the grapes and fermenting them in jars or by treading and fermenting them in open buckets. Anyway, the wine rests in 150 and 300 arroba (2,400 and 4,800 liter) jars under yeasts for eight months.
On the nose we find dried apricots, hazelnuts and aniseed notes. Its palate is complex, bitter, fruity (apple), and a little bit citrus, in an elegant, long and very rich wine.
The truth is that it was a safe bet. Nothing bad can come out when the desire to do new and different things of Envínate meets the Alvear tradition and know-how.
