Son casi 7.000, y están organizados en una asociación cuyo sello habrás visto multitud de veces en las etiquetas de sus vinos. Hablamos de Vigneron Independant, esa marca que agrupa a muchos de los vitivinicultores franceses que hacen maravillas como este champán.
Hugues Godmé Blanc de Noirs está elaborado a partir de una parcela de tres hectáreas de Pinot Noir de cultivo biodinámico. Las uvas fermentan, obviamente, sin pieles, y el vino base hace una crianza en rima de un mínimo de cinco años. En el ensamblaje, más de dos terceras partes son vinos de reserva. Y, por supuesto, no hay filtrado ni clarificación.
Su nariz es discreta pero muy sugerente. Pide algo de tiempo para abrirse y mostrarnos toda la exuberancia de una boca cítrica, láctica, vertical y compleja, sobre una base no muy untuosa a través de la cual observamos un constante desfile de unas burbujas finas, plenamente integradas.
Si no conoces demasiado este mundo, es muy probable que prefieras gastarte tus 40 o 45 euros en una etiqueta de renombre. Pero si finalmente eliges este Hugues Godmé, estamos convencidos de que no será tu último Vigneron Independant.

There are almost 7,000, and they are organized in a strong association. We are talking about Vigneron Independant, the brand that brings together many of the French winemakers who elaborate great wines like this champagne.
Hugues Godmé Blanc de Noirs is made from a three-hectare plot of biodynamic Pinot Noir. The grapes ferment, obviously, without skins, and the base wine ages for a minimum of five years. In the final blend, more than two thirds are reserve wines. And of course there’s no filtering neither clarification.
Its nose is discreet but very suggestive. It needs to open up and show us all the exuberance of a citrus, lactic, vertical and complex palate, on a not very unctuous base through which we observe a constant parade of fine fully integrated bubbles.
If you are new to this world, you may feel like spending your 40 or 45 euros on a renowned label. But if you finally choose this Hugues Godmé, we are convinced that it will not be your last Vigneron Independant labeled bottle.
