Chatear en los pueblos de La Rioja te da la oportunidad de probar vinos de pequeñas bodegas locales que difícilmente encontrarías lejos de su lugar de producción. En algunos casos te topas además con añadas que llevan mucho tiempo descansando en la botella, bien porque su productor lo ha querido así o bien porque el vino no ha tenido mucha salida.
A+1 Crianza 2012 es un monovarietal de Tempranillo con 12 meses de barrica de roble francés. En nariz encontramos fruta madura, ciruela pasa y notas de cacao en un conjunto agradable pero no muy intenso. La boca es coherente con la nariz, agradable pero algo falta de fuerza. Presenta un trago medio con un final algo alcohólico, taninos discretos pero no del todo domados, con la madera, eso sí, muy bien integrada.
Si vas a Laguardia, es una agradable opción para chatear entre las decenas de diferentes vinos por copas que encontrarás en los bares de esta localidad alavesa.

Asking for wines by the glass in the little villages of La Rioja gives you the opportunity to taste wines from small local wineries that you would hardly find far from their place of production. In some cases you also find vintages that have been resting for a long time in the bottle, either because their producers have wanted it that way or because the wine has not had much output.
A + 1 Crianza 2012 is a Tempranillo monovarietal with 12 months of aging in French oak barrels. On the nose we find ripe fruit, prune and cocoa notes in a pleasant but not very intense combination. The palate is consistent with the nose, nice but somehow lacking in strength. It’s a medium body wine with an alcoholic finish, discreet tannins but not completely refined and very well integrated wood.
If you travel to Laguardia, it’s a nice option to choose among the dozens of different wines by the glass that you will find in the bars of this Alava little town.
